Alcohol Free Hand Soap

Alcohol Free Hand Soap – Nostalgia and Organic

Some imagine giving up wheat only to discover that many foods contain it. Imagine trying to go organic only to discover it is harder than you thought. The same is true of products with alcohol. So that is why I am excited about this alcohol free hand soap and the fact I am able to review it for you.

When I decided to completely eradicate alcohol from my life I set up this blog to help others only to realize that people avoid alcohol in all areas of their lives including hair products and bath products.

It was amazing some comments I had on my blog that said “we are drinkers but alcohol really does not agree with our skin”.

Here are some reasons you gave :

  • I want more organic products and alcohol free could give me that
  • Alcohol dries my skin so I want to avoid it
  • I have a skin issue currently and want more natural products
  • I would just like to cut out alcohol and it seems cleaner using them

Now there were many other reasons but these are the ones that jumped out at the beginning. Now my main area of focus was finding products that do not contain alcohol so things like shampoo and bath gel.

However, I was asked about alcohol free hand soap and to be honest it had passed me by.

I realized as it is a necessity could alcohol free hand soap have moved to a more guilty pleasure gift or something you could use from the past that maybe is not used as much now.

So I went out to find something rather special in the alcohol free hand soap range that was organic and also was a specialty item.

I think I may have the thing, this is pretty impressive and the one thing people really like about soaps nowadays is that they are colorful and organic and these that I have chosen certainly are.

Overall Rank for O Naturals 6 Pc Citrus Bar Soap Collection Vegan Natural Body Face & Alcohol Free Hand Soap

00abv.com Rating 10/10

These are great colors and organic, they come in 6 soap packs, it looks and feels really impressive and the fact that they are packed separately appeal in terms of longevity.

They smell radiant and there is little waste due to their packaging. Store in a cool bathroom cupboard if you can.

These can be great for personal use but I have already clocked that they could be a simple Christmas or birthday gift, especially for those people that really enjoy the downtime of a nice bath to soak in.

I know it is one of my favorite times, music, water, relaxation. This product lends itself to that or it can be very practical. It’s your call!

Product Information for Alcohol Free Hand Soap

Now here is the important stuff that I am asked about, yes it is alcohol free but you wanted to know more. The oils are cold pressed and paraben free which I know is so important for people with their skins. It’s also sulfate free and the company stresses its good for all skin types.

Increasingly people want to know quite rightly if the product is cruelty-free and yes this is guaranteed.

So we know that vitamin C can boost your skin’s natural collagen which helps elasticity and this is something I have not seen since some “body shop” products came to market. It’s also got another favorite of mine which is vitamin E. We know that this can also help dry and damaged skin.

So here I have to stop saying “flavors” because they are clearly not edible but the pack has a great ranges including

  • Tangerine;
  • Wild Orange;
  • Grapefruit;
  • Petitgrain;
  • Bergamot
  • Lemon.

Ingredients

Sodium Palmate (Sustainable Palm Oil), Aqua (Water), Glycerin (Vegetable), Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (Organic Olive) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Coconut) Oil, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, L-ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

Pros

  • Alcohol free so big tick
  • Carefully scented
  • Organic
  • No use of the bad chemicals that we try to avoid
  • Perfect for a bathroom cabinet display.
  • Vegan
  • Organic Olive Oil
  • Organic Coconut Oil
  • Sustainable Palm Oil
  • No Sulfates
  • No Parabens
  • Totally unisex so ideal for men women and I guess the kids
  • You could keep them for special bath time moments.

Cons

  • Soap bars can seem a bit old-fashioned to some but I do love a bit of nostalgia!
  • Packaging can seem a bit awkward especially given sustainability, so it felt like work in progress
  • Palm Oil always has conflicting message however they explain it well.
  • Storage needs to be thought of as per all soap bars
  • Ideally keep in a cool bathroom cabinet but displaying them is ideal for visitors

Price

I think this is a great price £19.99 for 6 bars. You can buy them through an online deal here

Ideal for

Gifts and people who want something to brighten up their bathroom. It’s very modern but nostalgic at the same time. For those who like fruity smells and variety this is real and personal and is a nice move away from the hand pumps on hand washes we have come to expect.

Overall Thoughts on Alcohol Free Hand Soap

Overall hand soap may not be in as much in demand as they were but with this option it has a bit of glamour added to our bathrooms while being so much better than the modern day soaps with ever more ingredients in them that can harm the skin.

The main driving force for me is its alcohol free credentials so I am very happy to experience this product and also champion here on my blog.

  1. Hello there, When making both cold process and melt and pour soap, a spray bottle of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol is helpful. Also known as rubbing alcohol, isopropyl alcohol helps to prevent soda ash on cold process soap, and helps layers stick together when working with melt and pour.thanks for sharing this awesome article.

    • Thanks for your comment, it is really appreciated. However we are trying to find products without alcohol so I am afraid this would not work in this context as it would be adding alcohol rather than taking it away. I appreciate the tip but its not quite what I had in mind. I appreciate you taking time out to share your view on alcohol free soap regardless all the best, Phil
